Welcome to 5th grade!
Week 9 = field trip + personal narratives + 5th grade reset.
Abbott's Mill was truly an amazing experience for our 5th graders. The weather ended up being just right for all groups, and we have a newfound interest for macro-invertebrates!
We will be wrapping up all the work we have been putting into our personal narrative writing this week. Students will be typing their final drafts and continuing to read Wonder this week. We are about to experience a switch in character perspective, and I am really anticipating some deep conversations. Watch out!
If you haven't seen the latest homework assignment yet, be sure to check it out! Students are really excited about this assignment, and I am looking forward to creative ads I know we will receive. They have until November 17 to complete the project. I strongly suggest that you encourage your child to start the process this week with all of these wonderful days off they will be having! =) You can remind them the proverb we discussed last week if you need to do any coaxing..."The early bird gets the worm!"
Lastly, please reach out if you have any questions regarding the "5th Grade Reset". Letters were sent home on Friday explaining the process.
ENJOY THE WEEK! THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!
